Eyes Treatment

Overview

At Elite Eye Hospital and Laser Centre, we offer advanced diagnostic and treatment options for various eye conditions. Our services include Cataract, Lasik Treatment or Refractive Surgery (Specs Removal Surgery), Cornea and Keratoconus Treatment, Retina Treatment, Diabetic Retinopathy Treatment (Injection and Lasers), Glaucoma Treatment, Dry Eyes Treatment, Oculoplasty, Paediatric Ophthalmology and Squint Treatment

Treatments

These treatments, provided by skilled ophthalmologists, cover a broad spectrum of eye conditions and ensure comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages.

Cataract Surgery

This procedure involves removing the cloudy lens of the eye (cataract) and replacing it with an artificial intraocular lens (IOL). It is typically performed on an outpatient basis and restores clear vision.

LASIK and Refractive Surgery

LASIK (Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis) and other refractive surgeries correct vision problems like myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism by reshaping the cornea with a laser. These procedures reduce or eliminate the need for glasses or contact lenses.

Cornea or Keratoconus Treatment

Treatments range from corrective lenses and scleral contact lenses to corneal cross-linking to strengthen the cornea, Intacs inserts to reshape it, and corneal transplant surgery in severe cases.

Retina Treatment

Conditions like macular degeneration, retinal detachment, and diabetic retinopathy are treated with anti-VEGF injections, laser therapy, vitrectomy surgery, and retinal detachment repair to preserve and restore vision.

Diabetic Retinopathy Treatment

Management includes laser photocoagulation to seal leaking blood vessels, intravitreal injections of anti-VEGF drugs or steroids to reduce swelling, and vitrectomy surgery to remove blood and scar tissue from the eye.

Glaucoma Treatment

Treatments for glaucoma aim to lower intraocular pressure (IOP) to prevent damage to the optic nerve. Options include medicated eye drops, laser treatments (trabeculoplasty), and surgical procedures (trabeculectomy, drainage implants).

Dry Eye Treatment

Dry eye syndrome is treated with artificial tears, prescription medications to increase tear production, punctal plugs to reduce tear drainage, and procedures like LipiFlow to unblock oil glands.

Oculoplasty

Oculoplastic procedures address functional and cosmetic issues of the eyelids, tear ducts, and orbit. Treatments include eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), tear duct surgery to alleviate blockages, and cosmetic enhancements like Botox injections and fillers.

Pterygium Surgery

Removal of a pterygium, a benign growth on the conjunctiva that can extend onto the cornea, is performed surgically to improve vision and comfort.

Paediatric Ophthalmology and Squint Treatment

For children, treatments include glasses and patches for vision correction, vision therapy for strengthening eye muscles, and surgery to correct strabismus (squint) and other congenital eye conditions.

Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE)

This procedure involves replacing the eye’s natural lens with an artificial lens to correct refractive errors, similar to cataract surgery but performed for vision correction in patients without significant cataract formation.

Vitrectomy

A surgical procedure where the vitreous gel in the eye is removed and replaced with a saline solution. It is used to treat retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, and other vitreoretinal disorders.

Photodynamic Therapy (PDT)

Used primarily for age-related macular degeneration, PDT involves injecting a light-sensitive drug and activating it with a laser to destroy abnormal blood vessels in the retina.

Intravitreal Injections

Medications such as anti-VEGF drugs or steroids are injected directly into the vitreous cavity of the eye to treat conditions like macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vein occlusion.

Comprehensive Eye Care

Involves several key diagnostic tests and evaluations of the eyes which are done at hospital to assess the overall condition of your eyes.
